    AHR did not create the second two at the same time. She made them sequentially.


    She made the original thread because she felt like she was being bullied in the TV Tropes thread, which, to be honest, I understad. I felt Annebeeche was out of line, myself. She insinuated that AHR enjoyed incestuous child pornography. 


    It wasn't the matter of how you feel personally about rape fetishism. It has to do with not telling a person that, because they enjoy sexual roleplay in the privacy of their own home, they are a sick person who needs help.

    As for the rest, it doesn't matter. Break the rules, you're banned. Simple. 

    Honestly, it bothers me far more that AHR just couldn't stay calmed down about people disapproving of her for that. She knows it happens, and she has seen it before. 

    Not like Anne was any better but she's not here and she did not do anything stupid here.

    ^^ Well, from what I saw (and only having glanced at the TVT thread), the first thread here was importing drama, which is against the rules and reason in itself to lock a thread, whether she felt bullied there or not.  Sucks, but people have been tempbanned just for that before.  And it was getting kind of tense and passive aggressive in there.

    The second thread was really obviously passive aggressive, as well as a snowclone (against the rules) and I can see pretty much no way that that could have ended well.

    The third thread... yeah.

    I like AHR, but she does need a little time to cool off, I think.

    What Juan said. In the end, an insult over the Internet is nothing to worry about. But people really need to control themselves better, and I'm not afraid to ban people who need to calm down.

    You seem pretty indignant about this, Juan. I don't mean to say that she did nothing wrong. But you seem to not be understanding the frustration, here.

    This thread has officially crossed the line into personal attacks and judgments leveled at individual tropers. I had hoped that it wouldn't. Silly me.

    Just as a note: Saying "I don't like this" is not a personal attack. Saying "I find this deeply disturbintg" is not a personal attack. Saying "You are sick if this turns you on, and you should get help" or "People who like this sort of thing are disgusting, and if you like it I think you are disgusting, even though I know nothing else about you." are personal attacks.

    Strawmanning someone else's position on rape porn into "they support incestuous child rape" is definitely a personal attack.

    Locking it up. Don't try to restart it.

    Regardless, I know there's not much else I can do here, but if you're willing to send her a meessage, Cakman, tell her that I do sympathize, but that shee needs to understand that not many people are going to be reasonable abouut such a thing and that such is life.And what does it matter, whether Everest, Neo_Crimson or Anne approve of what she likes, provided she doesn't hurt people. 

    That's my take on it, at least.

    But that's just the point, Juan- She doesn't need them to like it. She doesn't care if they like it or not. What she was reacting to was the outright statement that, because she enjoyed something, she was an abomination. That is not something you should be saying on a message board like this. Or TV Tropes, rather.

    Consider it this way: What if Annebeeche had made a thread about being having gay characters or gay sex in fiction? And cited a gay porn story as an example? And then someone who was gay had a problem with it, and was told that, because they were gay, they were an abomination? Would you tell them that they need to move on?

    I'm not saying what AHR did was right. God no. She lost her temper and did something stupid. But the lack of understanding is... Troubling.

    I can totally see where she was coming from, but I can't help but feel like if you're exploding because of something someone you've never met, never will meet, and really know nothing about said over the internet, you need to take a step back.

    Was what was said wrong?  Yes.  Is flipping out going to solve anything or have any positive impact on the situation at all?  Nope.

    ^ No, in that situation, I'd say that the gay person should report the thread, ignore Annebeeche, and let a mod deal with it.  Getting angry and flipping out at people solves nothing and just makes things worse.

    This thread is really on the verge of conclusively being a drama importation.

    If you want to discuss this, do it civilly, to figure out where things went wrong, and use this thread to come to agreements and understanding with each other.  If you're just going to escalate this thread into an argument, this shit is getting locked.
