CRIMINAL SCUM!
That are SO basic you should have already known about them...and would've saved you a bunch of time...

Damn, I didn't think this Windows 7 class manual would ACTUALLY be useful :/

    What did you learn?
  • Windows 7 has gadgets, like apps that tell me the local weather, a nice unit converter, something that measures my CPU usage. It also has a way better alternative to PrntScreen.

    Oh, those things.

I never got used to them and my desktop is very rarely visible when I'm using it so they seemed rather useless to me.

Are they anchored to the desktop or can they be floating?  On the other hand, will they become problems when you're using Alt+Tab all the time?
  • Sidebar gadgets are treated as part of the desktop, so they don't come up separately in the Alt+Tab thingy.

That said, I never had much use for them, partly because I never see the desktop anyways. I do occasionally use a countdown one for a birthday or a holiday or something, and I used to keep the weather one open because my mother likes to bug me about the forecast.
  • Anchored. No.

I just use the minimize all button when I want to access them.
