"I broke up with my girlfriend/boyfriend because s/he didn't like [X entertainment media]."
I always get a good laugh out of people saying this.
Context: On mah Twitter feed, I saw Rody Walker (lead vocalist for Protest the Hero) retweet a tweet to him from a guy saying he broke up with his girlfriend because she didn't like Protest the Hero. As much as I love this band, that seems really stupid.

I mean, cause I was in a relationship with a girl who loved Smallville for two years. Should I have been expected to break up with her because we didn't have completely identical tastes?
Other persons just end up being a nuisance in the end.
Learn to solo everything or die trying.
The people I know are stupid, annoying, unfunny, intrusive and generally nuisances in every way...
... except Kim and Georgie.... but Kim got her Edinburgh boyfriend and will move there soonish, while Georgie accidentally got knocked up by the guy from Yorkshire and I can't really talk to her any more because she has a baby, though I fully sympathise with her plight.
South America, wasn't it?
I forget. My knowledge of Quaternary geography isn't that great.
Life sucks
... SO I'll just assume that Juan is on some sort of natural high that causes him to judge people far better than they actually deserve.
Sounds like it's time to hide the razorblades again.
On-topic: What if [X] is a sexual preference, a minority group, a political ideology or a religion? You know, something that actually has a suprising lack of impact on day-to-day life but can give rub lots of people the wrong way.
Would you try to get the person to be more tolerant, would you not care as long as she doesn't soapbox, or would you extrapolate it to the rest of her character and find her a royal cunt?
... then they have to go and prove me wrong by being so intolerably stupid that even as utterly worthless and pathetic as I am, I couldn't possibly be as bad as them.
Now why the hell do they have to do that?
Funny thing is on those rare (like one in a million) situations where I actually meet someone I like and respect... I can become... well.... a tad sycophantic. It is quite scary. I just tend to be so thankful to them for actually being better than complete filth.
Probably because you have a small penis, no comprehension of socialization and are repressing anger caused by sexual frustration?
You've never met a million people yet, so most likely it's a 1 in a 1000 chance.
