    Ooh, bad timing ninja.

Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.

  • Heavy Rain: that's the French VN with the plotholes and the quick time events, right?
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Not a VN. There isn't really a term for what it is.

    Thump
  • Why are you guys trying to make me hate the game?

Holy fucking shit, CANT I ENJOY A FUCKING GAME WITHOUT PEOPLE GOING ON A JIHAD AGAINST IT
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Chagen, you really need to stop considering it a personal insult whenever someone disagrees with you about something.
  • I'm not.

It's just that everyone is going "THIS GAME SUCKS STOP LIKING IT"
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Except that they all explicitly said that they weren't saying that.
  • You can change. You can.
I don't mind you disliking it, Chagen. It's just that you can't comment really that much in the game if you haven't finished it.

I bloody loved that game when I was starting it. By the end, it was just another game.

Just sayin'. Wait till you finish it and bring your opinion.
  • I know someone wrote an article about how Deadly Premonitions was better than Heavy Rain...or something.

Personally, I'm amused by the plotholeyness.
  • Well that's true, but most people I know who played Heavy Rain said they had a good experience. It's just that internet people are unpleasable dipshits.
  • Okay, fine.

I admit that this game has flaws.

But that doesn't stop it from being incredible. The scene where you're Jayden and dealing with Nathaniel in his apartment....that made my heart pound more than anything in any video game I've ever played ever.
  • You can change. You can.
I actually liked that scene because it seemed as if it'd be far more dangerous than it really was.
  • You know what Chagen? Ignore the criticism. Maybe afterward, when you've finished the game you can look back and respond to criticisms, but right now you're having a lot of fun, and you shouldn't let us ruin that for you.
  • Holy god, the car scene.

    Holy fuck.

I have never had any movie, game, book, music, or ANY-FUCKING-THING in the world give me that kind of heart-pounding suspense.
  • Kichigai birthday!!
    Terranigma was better.

  • Deadly Premonition is awesome.
  • I just realized a plothole.

Once Ethan had a few letters....couldn't he have, you know, hit google and found out the location?
  • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
Google doesn't exist in video games.
  • Holy fuck.

I'm gonna stop playing this game for a bit. I'm in over my head. It's fucking with my mind at this point.

I think this is one of those games that truly deserves it's M Rating.....
  • When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
    Unlike Silent Hill: Homecoming, AMIRITE
  • Not sure what you mean.
  • When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
I mean that game sucks. Homecoming, not Heavy Rain.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
    Necrobump.

Got it the other day. The first portion wasn't all that interesting to me, but everything after the first perspective shift has been quite good. I'm still not that far, though.
  • You can change. You can.
    Where are you on, INUH?

And yeah, the first portion of the game is simply there so you know what Mars lost.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I'm at the bit in the police station, right after you get to your office and go through files and stumble out to the bathroom. So not far.

And yeah, I understand, but when playing through it for the first time, it was kinda...well, it doesn't serve as much of a hook. The next segment did a better job of that.
  • You can change. You can.
Oh, definetly agreed. My problem with it is so artificial, really. I feel that the drama would have been more powerful with it, really.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
    I'm much farther now...holy crap.
