    I stay out of the photos thread, so I cannot say I have seen what Myrmidon described in this thread. I do think it sounds annoying though.

    I mean, I wonder what are you supposed to do if someone actually does say you are ugly. Are you suddenly meant to get better looks somehow? I guess there are ways to do that if you include stuff like styling your hair differently, buying new clothes,  and exercising to lose weight. I am not sure those options necessarily matter too much in every case, but that may just be me.

    I feel like health is the most important thing when talking about physical appearance anyway.

    On a somewhat related note, the "rate other tropers' looks" topic that was in Yack Fest did bug me because I thought it was incredibly petty and encouraged the wrong kinds of attitudes (i.e. self-centered attention seeking stuff). Still, I suppose I could just be a bit too sensitive about that kind of thing.
