I have a REALLY bad sunburn

edited 2011-08-03 06:03:34 in General
CRIMINAL SCUM!
I shaved my head, went hiking, and ended up getting way too much sun. I've been hiking before and I had no idea sunburns could get this bad. My scalp ended up oozing blood plasma and now my head is very scabby, my whole forehead is swollen and my skin just...hurts. It's hard to go to bed too. I had a zit on my nose, and the burn caused it to inflame like a mother fucker, I popped it and ended up...peeling off some skin. And my whole head is just...tight...I can't move too much without feeling like I'm going to stretch my skin off.

Did I mention I have this force of habit of picking at scabs? It's like...taking all my willpower NOT to reach up and just start picking at my head. I know it's pretty bad, and that just makes it worse because it's bothering me.

Anyways. Life is shit for the next couple of days...or however long it takes to heal.

At least I didn't get bit more then like 2 times by mosquitos, even though the end of the hike was really crappy. Me and my dad nickname particularly memorable hikes, I dubbed this one "The great mosquito run"

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

  • IJBM: People who say my dandruff is really gross and fail to realize that I have to LIVE with it all the time, not just when my friend is around.

This is kind of the same.

That doesn't stop it being gross.

Have you been to the doctor?

  • No. I just looked up some advice on Google.

Apparently, the phrase is common enough that its in google's auto complete list. If my condition doesn't improve by tomorrow I'll see a doctor, otherwise, aloe. Lots of aloe.

Alright! I hope you get better then. I suffered sun poisoning a couple years ago which caused me to have a my first and last seizure.
  • Next time, be sure to wear a hat when you're out in the sun like that, especially if you've shaved your head.
