Splatterhouse Remake's poor reception

They're somethin' else.
It's a shame that this remake of a classic franchise had its fate sealed by scathing reviews, poor sales and total apathy.

It's a labor of love in every way. It's gory as hell, it plays like greased lightning, the soundtrack kicks ass, and its full of easter eggs for the game's longtime fans.

I'd consider it Namco's answer to Capcom's Godhand. It's that good.

    I think the real issue is that when gamers say "I want X franchise back", they really mean "I want X franchise back and to also be eight again."
