Feeling like starting a liveblog

You can change. You can.
But not really feeling like it.

Feels weird, wrong and stupid, man.

Word of advice. Blog something very easy to snark. I sometimes get frustrated with my Princess Tutu liveblog because there's not that much to make fun of.
  • $80+ per session
    You should Liveblog Malkavian.

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
You don't have to just make fun of it though. It's possible to discuss the show in a liveblog.
  • You can change. You can.
I mean, I know what I wanna liveblog (Twin Peaks) because it's weird and let's face it, if you can't make a joke about dancing midgets, then you really aren't much of a jokester.

But I feel that it probably would make people who haven't watched it feel with less need to go watch it, and I feel that I can't add much to it because (IMO.) I'm not particularly funny.

Also, part of what I want to do with liveblogs is not just to amuse, but to actually enhance the viewing of this works via analysis. which prolly doesn't help things, dunno.

That's actually a perfectly viable approach.

I keep meaning to watch Twin Peaks.  It's on my Netflix instant queue.

I kinda want to watch Twin Peaks too.  Mostly because Deadly Premonition is apparently similar to it, and Deadly Premonition is an awesome game.  Sort of.
  • Vivi made me laugh ^_^

You should blog about a comic!

Oh, it definetly is. I just feel that I don't know wnough about Twin Peaks to properly do that.

    @DYRE and Forzare:

Twin Peaks is pretty good, and yeah DP (Tee hee) has some inspiration from it, but it falls short because lol badness. But overall, I'd say that it's required viewing for anyone who knows about TV, the nineties, or enjoys media. And/or breathing.

I've seen people do essays at the end summarizing everything they've learned over the course of the media in question, so it's not like you have to do an in-depth analysis in each entry. And liveblogging might encourage you to do some research so that you have more things to say.

    Things inspired by Twin Peaks:

    Deadly Premonition

    Silent Hill

    X-files

Higurashi (I was told this by a fan, but considering TP's popularity in Japan I wouldn't be surprised)

OK, fine I'll do it, you bunch of fannish fags.

Won't post it today, though. Lots of homework and early class tomorrow.

^^Forgot Lost. Also, with certain exemptions, all the works in here
  • I want to watch Twin Peaks solely so I can judge to see if it really is "Mind Fuck: The Show".
  • You can change. You can.
Honestly? It's not (Going by the first season, that is). But it's still a really good show.

I'll probably use IJBMer Updates to collect notes and thoughts on the second season, as I'm starting it now.

It's pretty weird in spots but if you go in every episode expecting Eraserhead you'll be disappointed.

Hurm, I'm trying to start the liveblog with mapping out the characters, but the cast is too big and I can't honestly describe them well. D:

Dunno, I guess I'll jump right at the episode

Also, I guess this thread can be used as a way to get advice on how to actually write a liveblog. Dunno.
