So yeah Amanda Knox was acquitted of murdering a Uk student.

The Daily Mail had this article up for a while:

    If it weren't for the Republicans cheering Rick Perry's executions, I'd find the idea that they seemed to enjoy making this up more horrifying.

    Eh, most of it is kind of a typical newspaper mistake; whenever a news situation can go either way, they'll type drafts of both possible articles so they only have to fill in some blanks whenever the real story breaks. Apparently the Mail published the wrong one.

    I do find it funny they went ahead and made up a quote to fill in the blanks though.

    Yeah it is quite typical to have the two stories, however its the fabricated quotes and details that get me.

    Apparantly 3 more outlets did the same thing (The Sun, The Guardian, Sky News). Only the Daily Mail went so far as to invent quotes and reactions. Quality journalism.
