They're somethin' else.
I usually stay far away from sniping anything in a film, out of ettiquette, and because I've met tropers IRL (not the forum) and have wanted to punch a great many in the face. Or because I actually kind of suck at riffing on films.

Last night, at the trailer to Like Crazy, I said "well, that didn't explain shit." And the whole theater blew up in laughter.

I kept my mouth shut throughout 50/50 just to end on a high note :x

Ah, yes. Nothing like repeatedly telling an awkward, unfunny friend of yours to shut up because he's trying to riff on a movie when it literally just started. For what it's worth, we weren't seriously peeved and (at least I) told him to shut up in jest, since the movie wasn't going to be watched intently anyway, being Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, but the fact that he felt the need to riff on Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus says a lot.

    uuuuuuuugh...
  • I feel like I'm that guy, but that has hardly anything to do with hanging out at TVT and more with a desperate need for validation.

  • ...this is my weakness.

    I...talk during movies.

    It's a really bad habit.

    I love commenting on them.
  • I don't mind people making quips at movies.

I do mind people acting like they've never seen the movie before, when you know they have, and they make the same jokes every damn time and still expect it to be funny and expect you to have forgotten that they've seen the movie and to praise them for their wit.
  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.

Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
I dunno, it depends on the setting. If I'm watching a serious movie, or something in a theater, jokes are annoying and make me wanna hit the person.

But if I'm sitting in the basement with a bunch of friends and watching a movie, everyone just laughing and making jokes about the movie and having a great time is so much fun.

But we already know you have the patience of a saint. :P
  • Cakman thinks I'm funny. Dammit.

    n/////n D-D'aww.

Well, I do it too. Usually only in close company, but there was the one time I went to see Black Swan with my tiny adorable friend and she cracked up with the derpiest creeper laugh right in the theater at the scene with the old guy jerking off on the train and it made me laugh really loud too. XD
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Eh, it's something I feel should only be done in private company and under the understanding those jokes will be made. In theaters it's just assholery.

This. Unless there's a jokey atmosphere in the theater, which barely happens anyway.
