  • Two new bosses?

I wonder if they'll be released as DLC for consoles.

  • The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword!

I'm Link, knight of Skyloft, defender of the secrets of the goddess Hylia. This is Crimson, my fearless friend.

Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me the day I held aloft my magic sword and said, "By the Power of Hylia!"

    "I have the Power!"

Crimson became the mighty Battle Bird, and I became Link, the Hero of Time!

Only three others share my secret. The old lady, Groose, and Fi. Together, we defend the Temple of Time from...the evil forces of Ghirahim!

    *OahHAHAHAHAHA*

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

^^^Yeah, they announced the announcement ages ago, so it was expected.

I did not anticipate the extra content though. Awesome.

^^ I am now imagining a mashup of the He-Man theme and the LoZ theme.

    Thank you.

  • I love how he final boss has you raise your sword to get struck by lightning in the same way. That was incredibly satisfying.

  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!

Crimson became the mighty Battle Bird

  • You probably wouldn't have guessed what I found under a woodpile.
  • But you never had any to begin with.

    A woodlouse?

  • Pillow Fight Day thingie in Amsterdam was fun. And I had the biggest cushion, which lead to peeps ganging up on me.

  • I found porn.

I remember cracking up when I found it.

So, as it turns out, going to Anime Boston was probably the worst possible way I could have spent my weekend. Which isn't to say that it's a total loss; I was smart enough to at least get one person's contact info, I got the first season of K-On! on DVD, and I had a pretty nice early morning chat with my roommate yesterday. But I'm also legitimately terrified of Boston, there are waaaaay too many cute girls (yes, this depresses me, get on my level), and I still don't know how to dance. For the most part, it's reaffirmed my depression by way of reaffirming my abnormality.

    -sigh-
  • One foot in front of the other, every day.

Sounds like your expectations overshot reality. Pretty common at college age, probably moreso than any other time in life. Although I can't reconcile "anime convention" and "dancing" in my head, unless you had a night on the town and decided to go clubbing. I can see how that would be disappointing; in Melbourne youth culture, clubs are socially built up to be these great things. I've been out to them dozens of times because some of my friends legitimately enjoy them, but I loathe them myself. Not my kind of music at all, nor my "crowd" -- if I indeed have a crowd --, nor can I do anything I enjoy but drink and smoke.

Being abnormal sometimes means kicking reason to the curb and doing the impossible. Using regular channels of finding fulfilment may never work for you. Think outside the box and perhaps take initiative. For instance, you might start a college club about some point of interest, or find that point of interest already has a club. There's nothing and no-one that can really, ultimately tell you what to do or how to solve your issues, and you have to get used to that as early as possible.

Dances are pretty common at anime conventions, as far as I know.  Anime Boston has multiple dancing events.

@Everest:  I know that feel, bro. :/  Sorry to hear that.

    DESTRUCTION!

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

I hate Easter. Just like with every single other holiday, mom's invited her entire family over -_-

  • Has friends besides tanks now
@Alex: I pretty much got what I expected. It was just a worse idea than I figured. I think that my biggest problem was that my only friend I was there with has Become a Mask of 4chan parlance and mostly referred to me as a pansy beta faggot. Which is pretty much true, except that beta is a stupid word.

Good news is, I'm not quite college age yet, so once I'm there, I'll join some clubs (including anime club; I would be surprised if any decent college in America didn't have one), make some new friends, and actually have a group of multiple people.
  • I don't actually know if my school has an anime club.  I know that the gaming club watches anime, so it might be that there isn't a dedicated anime club.  Or maybe all the clubs in my school are just really misleadingly named because the Karate club seems to frequently host Call of Cthulhu games, seemingly more often than they host events that actually are Karate related, if the flyers they put up are any indication.

or perhaps they're training in ju-cthulhu

    sorry

  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human

I know there's a dance event (actual dancing, not just DDR) at Quinni-con.

As for Myrmidon, go check his thread about "derived energy", I think he found another philosophy youtube video.

Inuh: That's what I loved about Easter, back when granpa and grandma were alive, all of the family gathered together for a feast! Nowdays, nothing!

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

Perhaps I should have mentioned that all the people she invited hate each other.
