I realize why I gave up on making friends

edited 2011-05-12 00:44:23 in General
The reason I've stuck to formal discussion instead of being able to make new friends is two fold.

1. I find it incredibly difficult to relate to people I'm scared of making new friends because I know I will lose them eventually and I don't think I can take that ever again.

2. I'm boring I take everything incredibly seriously and find it difficult to have casual conversation. Usually due to some form of paenoia. I end up becoming The Stoic or a Straw Vulcan. When I get emotionally I either get very angry and passionate or I get extremely depressed and loathsome. These are constants which I become aware of and ebcause of them I subcionciously decide to avoid getting close to people out of fear.

  • 3. I have an annoying issue with self pitty and feel the need to try and convince every member of a forum to love me.

Without being too crass, this sounds to me like a bunch of whining and excuse-making. You're just not trying hard enough.
  • "tryign hard enough is very loosely ddefiend I'ma ctually try8ing to rationalize and put ereasoning behind the issue "tryign hard enough" just sounds like a copout sayng "you do or youd on't" iwhtout putting rational thought in to variables.
  • I'm thinking you should start keeping this stuff to one thread. A lot of it seems pretty similar.
  • lack the discipline are people really that upset at me?

I never gave up on making friends.

    Because I never even tried.

I love how your spelling and grammar are just fine in the OP but then all the sudden you're practically illegible. If you're trying to pretend you're all broken up over what I said, I got news for you: You're a terrible actor.
  • They're somethin' else.
    Tnu...

Go volunteer someplace. Honestly. Make friends there.

Go to school. Make friends there.

Even try it at work. You can find them everywhere.
  • Thanks for that Schtizo and you just made my ignore list MoeDantes
  • ^ He's not going to care. And even if he did, you wont be able to see his reaction, so why tell him?
  • I know you've been told this already, but do make sure to check your spelling.

Because he gets to imagine my reaction. In Tnu's mind, I'm whining and throwing a fit over being ignored, and he's enjoying the feeling of superiority he gets from that.

Hey, who wants to help me play a prank? Just, play along and act like I actually am being really petulant. I wanna see if he un-ignores me just to see what I really said ;).
  • ^ Dude. Calm down, it's not the end of the world.

uh yeah when I say ignore I don't mean via script and no it does not give me a superiority complex your just a dick i'd rather not deal with. Also you realize my inherent paranoia keeps me from wanting to do that right?

I may consider it when I remove my brain.
