I just want opinions I just feel like I don't fit in because of my views and what not. Because of my personality or many other factors. I'd just like some opinions because i'm really scared that i'll always be one of the hated guys around here I can't be sure if i've really made any friends.

    I can kind of understand not feeling like you fit in or whatever, but I think the key thing is to relax.

    I think people should be able to tolerate different people's perspectives and whatnot. However, I also think that you really should not worry too much about what other people think about you online. It seems to me that doing that will only mean tying your well-being to the opinions of others, which I do not think is really going to lead to any kind of emotional stability.

    Of course, I think this will require efforts on your end to be polite and be considerate of others so people do not have any rational reason to dislike interacting with you (not that they do now or that you are not already trying to do those things).

    Well, I don't like it when people gang up on anyone just because of their unpopular opinions.

    That said, this site is about discussing things and people's opinions about them.  Yes, it's true that many of us disagree pretty strongly with your political views, but that doesn't mean that we hate you.

    I know I think that your political views are totally unworkable and unrealistic, but I have no ill will toward you for them.

    On the other hand, I think I should emphasize that you, just like everyone else, should not depend on this website for happiness or self-esteem.  It's all too easy to be harsh to someone you disagree with, and I can't stamp out every instance of it, so you shouldn't depend on this website or community to make you feel good.

    (Also, your rather misuse or lack of punctuation, spelling, capitalization and grammar make it difficult to read what you're writing.  It'd be useful to work on that.)

    What bugs me about you, Tnu1138, is not the content but the wording, so to speak. The sentences without a single word spelled correctly were a turn - off, but this is an area in which you have greatly improved since coming here, and I really appreciate your effort. However, you are still in a group in my mind that also includes Chagen who (for lack of a better term) worry too much.

    I was actually thinking about Kiddy Grade, which has themes about dealing with one's past as well as anti-authority rebellion.  That said, it kinda handles those themes sloppily; I'm probably unique in reading so hard into it.

    If IJBM was a pub and all the posters were drinking there together, I'd avoid talking politics with you, but I would keep putting pennies in your pint(s).
