    I'm pretty sure what they really mean there is more like "Yes they have to be young but we don't want to get v& so we'll say that it's not about age."

    Still, it's kind of silly to say a character isn't loli because they're a thousands-of-years-old nonhuman if they otherwise look like they're like... 10.
