The Cell Block Tango in Real Life
"You know how people
have these little habits
That get you down. Like Bernie.
Bernie like to chew gum.
No, not chew. POP.
So I came home this one day
And I am really irritated, and I'm
looking for a bit of sympathy
and there's Bernie layin'
on the couch, drinkin' a beer
and chewin'. No, not chewin'.
Poppin'. So, I said to him,
I said, "you pop that
gum one more time..."
and he did.
So I took the shotgun off the wall
and I fired two warning shots...
...into his head."
Anyone else experience minute traits or habits that make you go from being neutral (or even really liking) a person, to downright HATING them, be it in meat space or web space?

Chris the Asshole hunches.
He doesn't sit. He hunches over. His chin brushes the top of the table.
It bugs me.
You called?
I agree that such quirks can be annoying, but I think that hating a person because of them shows a lack of patience/communication on the part of the hater rather than demonstrating that the person is actually at fault. Have you tried asking the person to not say "what's up" as much? I understand that often that kind of approach does not work, but I feel like it is worth a shot even if all it does is make you feel better about the situation.
I feel like hate is too strong of an emotion to describe such bothersome quirks. I think annoyance fits this kind of thing a lot better. In general, I think it is silly to hate people, but I still struggle with that so I understand that getting over such feelings is not easy.
I've got another peeve which pretty much only gets invoked online, and if I mention it everyone will start doing it to try and wind me up, so I won't mention it....
BUT almost is bad is when people get "your" and "you're" mixed up... or "there" / "their" / "they're". No justification for that whatsoever.
By the way Bob... you'd hate me. I'm an occasional nose-picker... Not very subtle either.
Of and have is somewhat more annoying.
But I'm mostly just bothered by stuff which you notice when written but sounds the same when pronounced. Irrespective of what I type like, when I'm actually talking it is often in lolcat.
