I end up requesting spoons to eat it like ice cream...

  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
^This. Even the McDonald's "Triple Thick" milkshakes aren't that thick.
  • $80+ per session
    They also make bigger straws.

.....I thought the point of a milkshake was to be able to drink them through straws.
  • Well I suppose when I make milkshakes myself it's easy enough to drink, but I usually order them at restaurants (I have this weird feeling in me that makes me not want to waste ice cream personally making a milkshake) and while the straw is thicker it's still rather difficult without using enough force to make my cheeks feel bad.
  • I always rub shakes on my stomach to soften them up.
  • Dude, it's way more fun to eat it with a spoon.

  • How the hell do you "eat" a milkshake?
They're like.... well..... milk, but flavoured... o_0;  ... liquid, y'know?

  • I like them the best when they're so thick they're pratically solid.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    Go buy some ice-cream then.
  • ... How is that even possible? Is the milk so gone-off that it has gone hard?  Is it like... cheese-shake instead? ... Doesn't that mean they're not technically milkshake any more irrespective of how it is done?
  • Cygam:But....you can't drink ice cream!
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
You're saying it's more fun to eat it with a spoon anyway...
  • Well, sometimes it's convienent to drink it.

I just like the thicker ones.

    And so I responded:

  • Ice Cream isn't as....there's something about Milkshakes I like alot, but I don't know what....

I guess Milkshakes are more convienent to drink.

  • Yet you can also drink them, which I do. I can drink even the really thick ones with not much of a problem.
  • Who eats ice cream with a spoon?

    Me.
  • It's better licked, IMO.
  • I eat ice cream with a spoon, since I don't buy cones often.

Give it time, Edmania. Depending on your sucking method (differs from experience) generally you can get the milkshake to come through the straw by making small amounts of sucking rather than sucking as hard as you can, since generally no matter how hard you suck it, the milkshake is going to be coming out of the straw at the same speed since there aren't very many airpockets inside of it, or too many.
  • I just fucking hate when the straw gets crushed cause I suck it so hard.

Don't do that, most straws should be able to handle it unless you are like, compressing it so hard that it cracks no the side. Then you shouldn't drink through those straws because they are badly made.
