  • Mine does that. I have a really unreliable Sprint card that likes to crap out every two or so hours.

Of course, my connection is also shared throughout the house and my computer is the lowest when it comes to bandwidth priority, so...
  • It's never for no reason.

    My dad controls my internet.
  • As...does mine...

My connection typically drops when people put too much weight on it, so I'll be trying to talk with my boyfriend while my two sisters are trying to download movies and my dad is getting updates for his tablet or something. On a 120 KB/S connection.

    Does not end well.

The weirdest thing is that I have absolutely no idea why it happened. It just stopped working all of a sudden, and now it's back up.
  • Be glad you are not responsible for figuring out why the connection stops working. Sharing 180 kb/s between two computers is not so bad now.

    THIS.

I'm taking a computer networking class at high school, and I found out that network troubleshooting is a thankless, exhausting task.

But that's impossible. If Windows XP Network Preferences can do it, there's no way you can't.
