Games with incredibly inconsistent physics.

  • You can change. You can.
Going into Bioware games, I expect an RPG, dammit.

True, I guess, but to be honest, it's not like the first game gave you much leeway in terms of choice. Whether you like it or not, you're still Commander Shepard, savior of humanity. Whereas KOTOR gave you...well, the dark side and the light side of the force.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
    ^^Shut your whore mouth

^Yeah, true enough. Even DA2 gave a lot more options in what you could do and that was copying the ME model.
  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
    I'm with Ninjaclown about ME2
The switch to ammo doesn't really follow properly, and disappointed me.

As fun as Demons' Souls is, the fact that everything from wheels to bodies weighs the same as a tin can is hillarious.

Bioware has been delightfully vague about their cashcow. One day
they say it will be 'more action packed' (read: less RPG elements) the
next they say it will 'appeal to purists' (read: more RPG elements)

It means less RPG elements and more "we want Call of Duty's audience", but Bioware is making a few half-hearted attempts to convince purists that they're still thinking of them. Ubisoft tried the same thing with Splinter Cell: Conviction.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
They do at least kinda do a hand wave about the ammo being because they incorporated Geth tech into new guns, but I, too, found it annoying.

    ^
Couldn't you buy Geth Licences in the first game and use supposed geth weaponry, without it ever needing ammo?
  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
What's really annoying was the Heat Clip system was supposed to be an alternative to the old system. You would get a couple of them per mission and if your gun overheated you could eject the clip and skip out on the waiting. Why did they change that?
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
To be more like the more popular FPSes, clearly.

We can bitch about the changes Mass Effect 2 made until Captain Picard cries, but it doesn't change that it made a hojillion dollars.
  • I've had Mass Effect 2 for many months and still never played it.
I didn't even get the first game until the 2nd was nearly out.
    I'm just funny like that.

And speaking of wonky physics... oh the fun I used to have in Oblivion and Fallout 3 (also New Vegas) with the crazy physics. ^_^  ... I still remember when that Brotherhood of Steel guy outside the whitehouse (or whatever it was) got rocketed... and then his body turned into a spasmodically jerking satellite bouncing about the nearby streets in random directions, knocking things over. He stayed airborne for a good 6 minutes... just thrashing about in the air and knocking things over on the ground occasionally with randomly spiked limb-joints.
Reminds me of when I killed some guy in Oblivion... over on the east side of the map... and decided randomly to blast his dead body all the way across the country with area effect Shock spells. Along the way I killed more animals and people trying to hurt me, and started blasting their bodies across the country too... Great times! ^_^
