My internet has drastically slowed down and I have no idea why

It happened last night. It still takes ages to do anything.

  • What else happened last night? Or who knows, it could independent of you and could be your service, or maybe something happening with your local services

  • I have no idea. Team Fortress 2 downloaded an update, and that's it.
  • Maybe try resetting your system to a date before the download and see if the problem goes away.  You might have a compatability issue.

    That happened to me recently.

  • I did that once, but I forgot how. How do you do that, again?
  • I have Vista home premium, so your system may work differently, but what I do is reboot, then keep hitting, I think it's the F11 key, until it gives me the reset screen.
  • *Unties the internets*

Sorry. Was having kinky secks with the series of tubes. I'll let it go now.

  • It's weird. It'll get a certain amount of the page loaded, and then just stop and load forever, and I have to keep refreshing until it gets it all done quickly the first time around.
  • It could be a problem on your ISP's end. You may want to give their tech support a call and see if they have any outages. They could probably help you determine exactly where the problem lies regardless.
  • Do you have a wireless connection?
