Oral Sex in Pornography. [NSFW Discussion]

edited 2014-02-22 01:01:09 in Meatspace

One thing I've never understood is why people like blowjobs in pornographic works. I mean, I can understand the appeal of getting a blowjob yourself, but seeing someone else get one is just gross. There's just nothing about it that's sexually arousing to me, I'd even say that it's downright ugly to look at.

Comments

  • It's so you can pretend that you're getting one.

Granted, I don't like them either. But I'm sure there are many that do.

    Oh yeah sure, why not?

I don't know why they'd like it, some folks will definitely like it.

  • You sorta focus on the dudette giving the blowjob, not on the dong. I used to find it unappealing too, but you grind away the repulsiveness gradually, which is a good thing in my opinion: being disgusted with basic anatomy is a useless quality.

See, the problem with that attitude is that it can lead to people being into some pretty disgusting things. I've been around some rule 34 sites where a lot of the porn only barely manages to avoid being bestiality because the non-humanoid characters (usually from My Little Pony or Pokemon) are sapient to some degree.

It's been shown that the part of your brain responsible for feelings of disgust more or less shuts down when sexually aroused, so being exposed to this while searching for other porn can lead to the development  of some pretty gross sexual interests.

  • The possibility of fetish escalation is always there, but sanity says there's a big difference between getting over feelings of alienation of your own body/other bodies, and searching out the most niche kinks in the name of tolerance. I knew what I liked more or less since my teens, and exposure to the wild, weird world of the internet has only given those likes a name and ideas on how to integrate it in the bedroom in a healthy manner.

  • My arms are falling off!

In general I'm not a really huge fan of prawns that involve bodily things going into the bodily things of others. I've always preferred softcore/solo material.

Doesn't help that half the men in this sort of material are ugly as sin compared to the women they're with, even if that's part of the point.
