    I am beginning to think that eventually everyone on IJBM 2 will be banned on TV Tropes at some point. That makes me wonder how Khwarizmi will be banned (probably for messing with thread titles too much).

    Anyway, I am a bit confused about people being thumped for off-topic posts in a Yack Fest topic considering the rules specifically state that Yack Fest threads can derail. I guess there is a possibility that the wrong thump message was used or something.

    While I really do not know what "quality" is so I doubt I could or should judge your posts, I think the idea that it is okay to be rude so long as you also contribute is kind of silly. From what I can tell, being abrasive makes it more difficult to contribute if anything, not to mention that I think it is an unnecessary and negative personality trait. I think that "tending to annoy or cause ill will" is not a great way to be if you want to interact with people successfully, either online or offline. I guess your mileage may vary there though.
