Something about it just bugs me it makes strawmen and Acceptable Targets apperently it reduces some to the essence of pure evil and others to savages? I'm sick of it rich or poor nobod6y deserves unequal treatment by the state.  The whole thing reeks of an "Us vs. Them" Collectivist mentality.

    i'm not saying it is in and of itself but I notice it in debates on the subject. People go for the whole Acceptable Targets about how one group is either petty or lazy or whatnot and it bugs the crap out of me.

    Even if a person argues for unequal taxation of the rich, I wouldn't say that it's class warfare. I would be very surprised to see that a significant proportion of people who argue that harbor resentment towards everyone who is rich. Bill Gates himself has been campaigning for Washington state income taxes on the wealthy.

    Hell, if I was loaded I'd be a lot more willing to give some of that back to society. It's only fair to be willing to offer up what you don't need to help people who do need it.

    I think the whole "class warfare" meme is sort of silly.
