Not just the controversy itself - although ATF forces knowingly leaking weapons to Mexican drug cartels is infuriating enough - but also the media's reaction to it, in the sense that there hasn't been any. Despite the House Oversight Committee investigating the issue, and the Obama administration itself lying about the number of weapons traced to the US, and the deaths of border patrolmen, and kidnappings, only right-leaning news companies have run the story, and even they haven't gone into any great detail. There's also an underlying implication that ATF officials intentionally leaked weapons for political gain.
Call me paranoid, but it seems fishy.
