    You could hack your sets file to contain them, but nodody else could see them. It's easier to do on MWS, where info on your opponenent's cards is loaded from your opponent's machine, but even there nobody really does it.

    Also, can you do custom settings, such as turning on/off mana burn?
    It doesn't have a rules engine.

    Well, to a point. I've seen some formats that would be unplayable on Cockatrice.

    Actually, official formats Vanguard, Planechase, and Archenemy are unplayable on Cockatrice.
