I've just discovered that I love Chiptunes, and I'm not sure why.  It might be a little bit notalgia motivated, but that's probably not the whole reason, considering that I mostly started gaming with the Playstation, when the music wasn't quite like that anymore.

This was important information that you all needed to know.

Wait, do they even have chiptune events? I thought it was still fairly niche.

Oh, also, I like licensed games on older hardware because often they have chiptune covers of songs from the movie/show/whatever.

Relatedly, nobody uploaded to Youtube the version of "Catch You Catch Me" from the CCS game on the Wonderswan.  Maybe... I will do that myself!

Eindbaas- http://eindbaas.org/agenda/edities  (transl.: Final Boss) is active in the Netherlands, they had Jeroen Tel(the guy behind the music of Lemmings) last edition(I've only been to edition 4-6). They only other thing I know of is Blipfest in the States, but every country's bound to have at least some gigs by chiptune artists.
