  Ouch.  That sucks.  Been cut up by glass once.  Halogen bulbs can be pretty nasty.  So can tempered glass that's not shatter - safe.  :P

  My whole flat is lit by halogen lights. They're expensive and hot as hell; I've never had one break though.
