Problem in that I can't seem to change the text in an inserted URL to display something other than the URL. Might be Firefox, might be incompetence on my part.
Highlight the URL text, click the "insert link" thingy again, and type a new URL.

I don't know if I've asked this before, but is there any way the mods could be enabled to delete certain posts on the Activity page?

Hmm. I can delete my posts there, but I meant I can't delete other people's. And I've seen at least one, recently, that I would like to delete.
INUH is an Administrator and Everest is a Moderator, so perhaps it's a feature that's only available to Administrators?

I refer to myself as a mod because I don't think I've ever really used admin features, and if I have, it's been stuff like that that mods probably should have.
This is almost certainly an admin vs. mod permissions issue. This is odd, lemme check out the admin dashboard.

Can we get some sort of wordfilter system to block application reasons containing the standard spambot stuff? Those guys are getting persistent; I've declined I think three or four today.

Yeah, we might want to get a way to see IP addresses of applicants. I'm getting very annoyed at spambots advertising "non-nude teen girls"; I'm tempted to actually report them to law enforcement.
Thankfully the two that I cleared today were just advertising cheap viagra and luxury goods. When spambots advertising cheap viagra and luxury goods are considered less bad, there's a problem.

So I had that thing where I randomly got a permanent +1 to my PM count. No big, I'll deal. Now it's just jumped up to 3. Is it not registering that I've left conversations or something?

Maybe the mobile site uses some part of the previous editor that was buggy about that. As you may remember, the old editor had trouble with doing linebreaks properly.
