My initial understanding was that this was because this is because women have boobs and showing off boobs is indecent because doing so is considered excessively sexy. Putting aside potential problems with this line of reasoning, I later realized that things actually made even less sense -- because it seemed that the common objection was not to the displaying of boobs (which get frequently outlined by various articles of clothing) but rather to the display of nipples. This just doesn't make sense, honestly.
Well, I think the implication of "sexy" is still somehow considered tasteful.

I've noticed thatpeople who are 100% not me have noticed that guys on Douyin tend to build their bodies in a way where they have massive shoulders and extremely narrow waists. I don't know if this is a filter thing they're faking or they actually do this to their bodies but it seems quite unhealthy.I do know of at least one Japanese bodybuilder who does something similar and in his workout videos involve wearing a shaping belt of some sort and it's like, yeah no man it's fine you don't have to do this.
