Granted.  Though some people were at various points trying to have a real conversation in that thread.

And the rest of the shitposting was, in large part, users who (one of them, at least) wanted to filibuster the thread with their shitposts in order to prevent the original topic from coming up.  So while you aren't at fault for "malicious" shitposting, I'd say it wasn't a great idea to encourage it.

Edited for extra emphasis on the "wonderpost with restraint" parts. Wonderposting should be a way to facilitate the normal evolution of conversations in a thread, not as a way to impose a change of topic.

Also, I haven't added this to the rule, but help make threads readable. Posting dozens of screen-sized images makes it very hard to follow the thread, so please link to high-resolution images. Horizontal scrolling in particular is a pain in the ass, so don't do it either with images or with unbroken text.

To you and everyone in general. You happened to have an image on this very page that horizontally scrolled, which I turned into a link, but what I'm more concerned about are the shitpost threads where everybody posts huge images, making the thread annoying to scroll through.

This is kind of a retarded question, but is it acceptable to post a (polite) IJBM about getting banned on TV Tropes itself? I realize there's a lot of traffic between the two sites, and I don't want to antagonize anyone on either of them by kvetching about something that won't be changed.

I just sort of want to say what happened and how I felt about it. If that's not alright, then I'm cool with that.
